Wednesdays at the Warehouse returns with the much-awaited Arab film public program now the domain of Warehouse421. Season 4 of the film program continues the commitment to showcasing the best in contemporary Arab cinema to the audience of Abu Dhabi.
For the past three seasons, the journey through Arab cinematic landscapes has travelled our audiences deep into the souls and minds of Arab stories – from Mauritania to Bahrain and beyond. The fourth season’s lineup will continue on to showcase the region’s finest in
critically-acclaimed short and feature-length narrative and documentary films.
The new program will be a window into adventure, joy, tears and drama as experienced and made alive by characters and their storytellers. Boisterous tales and socioculturally reflective dramas — the fourth season continues to shed light on films that hold true and strong Warehouse421’s dedication to the celebration of cultural production from across the MENA region.
Warehouse421 is a new venue for arts and culture located in Mina Zayed district of Abu Dhabi that has been converted from two of the port’s former industrial warehouses. The mission of Warehouse421 is to celebrate art and culture, design and creativity, performance and music, from artists and designers based here in the UAE and from around the world, and to let people experience these disciplines in a unique and original space. The conversion of Warehouse421 has been overseen by the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation as part of its mission to support the growth of the arts and cultural sector of the UAE.
