Based on a true story, The Rider stars breakout Brady Jandreau as a once rising star of the rodeo circuit warned that his competition days are over after a tragic riding accident. Back home, Brady finds himself wondering what he has to live for when he can no longer do what gives him a sense of purpose: to ride and compete. In an attempt to regain control of his fate, Brady undertakes a search for new identity and tries to redefine his idea of what it means to be a man in the heartland of America. Summer in the 1950s. Greaser Danny Zuko, leader of the high-school gang the Thunderbirds, has a romance with young Australian ingénue Sandy Olson. The two fall in love, but when vacation ends they have to split up, having first sworn eternal love. As it turns out, Sandy attends the same high school as Danny, which will threaten their relationship and collide with the boy’s reputation as a ladies’ man and The Pink Ladies’ notoriety.
A young woman called Nazo and her mother and sister are called to defend their home after a bitter family feud leads to her father’s incarceration. In their isolated farmhouse in Pakistan, the women find themselves surrounded by armed men hired by their Uncle Mehrban to take back the land. When Nazo’s resistance leaves two of the men dead, an enraged Mehrban calls in a local ragtag militia – two hundred armed bandits. But even with only a handful of bullets left, Nazo refuses to give in.
